Apple TV has mapped out a packed 2026 with the return of Ted Lasso and Shrinking, new dramas led by Elisabeth Moss and Anya Taylor Joy, five original films, and Formula 1 coverage, creating one of the streamer’s most varied and ambitious release calendars to date.

Apple TV used its Santa Monica press day to show exactly how it plans to hold attention through 2026. The streamer is not relying on one headline show. Instead, it has built a steady calendar where familiar hits return early, prestige dramas arrive in spring, original films are spaced across the year, and a beloved comedy comes back in summer.
Big names like Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington, Kate Mara, Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer and Anya Taylor Joy lead the new wave. Alongside scripted shows, Apple will also begin its United States Formula 1 coverage, widening the platform’s appeal beyond drama and comedy.
Apple begins the year with shows viewers already trust, making January and February feel familiar and easy to jump into.
March and April introduce the titles Apple is betting on for awards talk and long term buzz.
June and July are designed to keep momentum high with very different genres landing close together.
One of the most anticipated comebacks on the platform arrives in summer.
Apple is also giving each film its own window instead of crowding releases into one month. In 2026, Apple becomes the United States broadcast partner for Formula 1, adding to its MLS and MLB coverage and giving the service year round live programming.
This slate is built for consistency. There is always something arriving, but nothing feels rushed. Big names, trusted series, careful spacing and live sport all work together. Apple TV is trying to make sure subscribers never feel there is a quiet month in 2026.
