SBS is entering 2026 with confidence - and volume. The broadcaster has officially revealed a sweeping drama slate that spans romance, fantasy, legal thrillers, medical noir, action, and hit sequels, reinforcing its reputation as one of Korea's most reliable drama powerhouses.

After solid romance success in 2025 with Love Scout, Dynamite Kiss, and Would You Marry Me, SBS is doubling down on emotional storytelling - while also expanding aggressively into high-concept genre series.

Sold Out On You

Described as a warm, dreamlike romantic comedy, Sold Out On You follows Matthew Lee, a farmer juggling three jobs, and Dam Ye Jin, a famous show host plagued by severe insomnia. Their connection unfolds across mismatched schedules - day and night colliding in unexpected ways.

The casting of Ahn Hyo Seop - fresh off major hits like Dr. Romantic, Lovers of the Red Sky, Business Proposal and even being the voice over actor for KPop Demon Hunters - alongside Baeksang Best New Actress winner Chae Won Bin (Doubt) has already sparked buzz among drama fans.

Brave New World

In contrast, Brave New World embraces sharp edges. The drama pairs a notorious Joseon villainess with a morally questionable modern chaebol heir, delivering a full-blown hate-to-love narrative.

Lim Ji Yeon takes on a challenging dual role as both modern actress Shin Seo Ri and the Joseon-era villainess Kang Dan Sim, while Heo Nam Jun steps in as Cha Se Gye. The transformation and volatile chemistry between the two actors are shaping up to be one of SBS's boldest romance gambits.

Nine to Six

Starring Park Min Young and Yook Sungjae, Nine to Six turns its focus to contemporary struggles - career pressure, emotional burnout, and romantic crossroads. The contrast between the two leads' personalities has already drawn attention as a potential relatable hit for working-age viewers.

Phantom Lawyer

It introduces Shin Yi Rang, a lawyer who can see - and be possessed by - ghosts, alongside elite attorney Han Na Hyun. Together, they take on cases involving clients unlike any others.

Yoo Yeon Seok's transformation into a ghost-seeing lawyer and Esom's portrayal of a flawless, undefeated legal ace promise a fresh twist on SBS's courtroom drama legacy.

Manager Kim

Based on the popular Naver webtoon, Manager Kim centers on an ordinary father forced to reveal a dangerous secret to save his daughter. The story blends high-stakes action with emotional depth and paternal sacrifice.

Starring So Ji Sub, Choi Dae Hoon, and Yoon Kyung Ho, the series is positioned as a new evolution of the "dad universe," mixing spectacle, bromance, and raw emotion.

Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia

One of the most talked-about entries, Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia explores corruption within the medical system through the lens of a surgeon known only as Doctor X, who challenges nepotism through sheer skill.

Directed by Lee Jung Rim (VIP, Revenant, As You Stood By) and written by Pyeon Seong Geun, the drama boasts a heavyweight cast including Kim Ji Won, Lee Jung Eun, Son Hyun Joo, and Kim Woo Seok - raising expectations for a dark, gripping medical thriller.

Flex X Cop 2

Returning after two years, Flex X Cop 2 brings back director Kim Jae Hong and writer Kim Bada to rebuild the series' world. Jung Eun Chae joins the cast as Ahn Bo Hyun's new investigation partner, promising fresh dynamics and another adrenaline-fueled season.

Good Partner 2

This show also returns for season two, introducing Kim Hye Yoon as Jang Na Ra's new partner. The first season's finale peaked at a 21% viewership rating (Nielsen Korea), ranking first among Friday–Saturday dramas and all programs aired that week.

The series also dominated the 20–49 age demographic in its time slot, setting the bar high for its upcoming return.

SBS celebrates 2026 lineup with "Ride SBS" relay challenge

To mark the reveal, SBS released a relay challenge video under the theme "Ride SBS," tying into the 2026 "Year of the Red Horse." Featuring direct participation from the drama lineup's main actors during awards season filming, the video adds momentum to the network's ambitious year ahead.

With star power, genre diversity, and sequel confidence all in play, SBS's 2026 drama lineup is shaping up to be one of its most aggressive - and promising - yet.
