The 32-year-old rapper IHeartMemphis, whose real name is Richard Colbert, was arrested in Miami after an intense 11-hour SWAT standoff that followed a disturbing five-day spiral on social media. According to the post, Colbert had been going live on Instagram while allegedly armed, making erratic statements and issuing threats toward his ex-partner, Coco Bliss, after she attempted to have him involuntarily committed under Florida's Baker Act.



Video footage from the incident show Colbert livestreaming from a garage, visibly agitated and repeatedly waving his hands as his audience swelled to nearly 73,000 viewers, an alarming illustration of how a rapidly escalating personal crisis was amplified and consumed in real time through social media.



The rapper is best known for his breakout hit Hit the Quan. The song gained fame through a social media trend called the #HitTheQuanChallenge and eventually climbed to number eight on the Billboard Hot 100, despite Colbert reportedly spending just $35 on studio time to record it, according to Famous Birthdays.

His partner, Coco Bliss, is a 25-year-old TikTok personality who first gained attention for taking part in the WAP challenge. The couple have had an on-and-off relationship, and reports indicate that they share a child and live together.

The situation escalated when Coco Bliss confronted Richard Colbert after noticing his cryptic Instagram post, leading him to verbally attack her and insist she leave because he was "scared" of her. He then went outside and engaged with police officers, making threats and directing insults at them, particularly targeting Black officers.

During the standoff, Colbert referred to himself as "AI" and "God", shouting as officers asked if he was suicidal. He maintained that he had no intention of harming anyone, stating he "was Kanye", and insisted he did not require medication or hospitalisation.
